Dance

Rachel Darter

Rachel Darter has 28 years of dance experience in Colorado, Texas, Missouri, as well as Albania and India. She has worked as performer in dance and theatre productions, director, and choreographer. Over the last decade, Rachel’s experience includes: Valor Christian Varsity Poms – Captain, Veritas Dance Company, TCU Calling in Action Dance Company – President, TCU Modern Dance Minor, Kanakuk Kamps Dance Instructor, and Arella Dance Company. Outside the studio, Rachel enjoys traveling with family, skiing, boating, and being a mama.

John DeYoung

John DeYoung has extensive hip hop dance experience in a variety of venues. He is also co-leader of FRCS’s new Poms squad.

Krista DeYoung

Krista DeYoung has extensive dance experience  in a variety of styles, having performed and taught various squads and troupes. She is also co-leader of FRCS’s new Poms squad.

Music

Dawson Hancock

Dawson Hancock is a pianist and composer specializing in cinematic, ambient, electronic, and worship-driven music. He has performed piano for CCU events, various churches in Lakewood, and conferences in the Denver area. Dawson teaches piano to over 20 students, takes on freelance composing projects, and serves in a music-tech role at Colorado Christian University. Outside of music, he enjoys running, hiking, and capturing nature on film. Learn more at dawsonhancock.com.

Jonah Sims

Jonah Sims is a drummer, guitarist, singer, songwriter, and composer who specializes in folk style Christian music. He has performed in several CCU choir and recital performances along with serving on multiple worship teams and performing at the Buell theater in 2022. Jonah also serves as audio manager for CCU’s chapel team as well as audio technician for CCU’s School of Music. In his free time Jonah enjoys hiking, thrifting, weightlifting and spending time with his family.

Drama

Macie Nielsen

Macie Nielsen is a theatre artist and teacher specializing in design, psychology, and avant-garde work. She has worked as a performer, director, producer, and choreographer for eight years and has notably received three KCACTF awards for her acting and design work. When not teaching, Mrs. Nielsen enjoys playing board games and reading classic literature.

Creative Arts

Cassie Elmer

Ms. Cassie Elmer is going into her second year as the FRCS Elementary Art Teacher, and also runs a small art nonprofit for teens. Using art to connect hearts and minds with the Creator is one of her great passions in life.
